This impala sculpture was hand-carved by artist Hassan Ssebunya of the Buganda tribal culture from Uganda from a single piece of Rosewood. This is a very fine sculpture from a very fine piece of Rosewood. Although this piece lacks the two-tones of other pieces it remains a very good piece Rosewood with deep amber coloration and revealing the grains of the wood as well as being very heavy wood all makes this a piece of high quality Rosewood. Rosewood of this quality is increasingly rare and valuable, especially when transformed into such a wonderful piece of artwork as this impala sculpture. This impala sculpture was expertly carved with artist Hassan paying strict attention to every detail. The pose that Hassan chose for this impala sculpture is also unique in that the animal is looking back possibly sensing danger approaching. This is truly an exquisite piece of artwork and will be a valuable addition to any collection and sure to gain praise and many admirers.
This Impala Sculpture of Beautiful Rosewood measures 14.5 inches Tall and 4 inches Wide.
