  
 This extra-large Elephant Swinging Trunk Sculpture was hand-carved by artisan Kofi Acheampong of the Ashanti tribal culture from Uganda. The elephant is a common symbol of strength, honesty, and wisdom within African tribal cultures. Artist Kofi Acheampong did an excellent job in carving this realistic elephant sculpture from a single piece of Odum wood, which is renowed for its deep dark color. The elephant portrayed in this sculpture is walking and allowing his trunk to swing side to side as is common practice among African elephants.
