  
This hand-carved and hand-painted Kissing Mask was created by artist Hassan Ssebunya from Uganda. This mask is a traditional design of the Buganda tribal culture, which artisan Hassan Ssebunya is a member, that depicts romance and a kiss between a man and woman. Look closely at the two heads in the crown of the mask and you will see that it is a man (left) and a woman (right) with puckered lips leaning in to meet one another for a kiss. This mask was hand-carved from a single piece of Ebony wood and then hand-painted by artist Hassan; it is a unique and traditional depiction of African romance.
This Kissing Mask measures 9.5 inches Long and 5 inches wide.
